Creating Digital Content using Screencastify & Snip

Clear Targets:

• Add Screencastify extension to Google Chrome
• Download and install Snip to teacher machine
• Create instructional content using Screencastify and Snip
• Save and locate content
• Share content with intended audience

Open Google Chrome	Download link for Chrome
Access Google Apps	Look for the Google App Waffle in the upper left corner of the Chrome Browser Window.
Select Web Store	Click the Web Store Icon to open the Google Store and search for Screencastify.
Add App	Add the Screencastify app to Google Chrome
Set-up Screencastify	Allow link to Google Account
Shake, Bake, Collaborate!	Get into groups of 3-4 Discuss ways to use Create a video that demonstrates Name Video and Post to classroom (Classroom code: b4pmys)
What is Snip (only available on Windows)	Do you have Snip? Search for Snip on your device. If you don't have it, use the link to get Snip on your device. (Windows Only)	Download Snip from Office
Get Familiar with Snip	Where to find Snip Using capture Using Whiteboard Using Camera Sharing Snips
Shake, Bake, Collaborate!	Get into groups of 3-4 people Discuss ways to use Snip in the classroom to create and share digital content As a team, create a snip that models/explains an idea your team discussed Post your product to the google classroom for others to see
